Investing for Growth Fund

The Investing For Growth (IfG) Fund is a programme that aims to increase the number of social enterprises in the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership area that are ready for growth, and can access the finance that they need.

The fund is focussed on existing organisations based and/or substantially operating in the Sheffield City Region (SCR), which comprises Barnsley, Bassetlaw, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield, who are looking to grow their trading activity and have fairly developed plans already in place.

Fund Offer:

  • Business growth support diagnostic, to identify gaps and or issues to be addressed
  • Up to 12 hours 1-2-1 or 1-2-many support with developing/honing growth plans, focusing on areas of support identified in initial analysis
  • Grants of between £1k and £2.5k to cover up to 100% of costs of technical support or small capital projects. Match must be available from the wider scheme at 50% intervention.
Funds can be released before payment, but grantees must provide full evidence of expenditure to KFI
  • Grants of between £5k and £25k to cover a maximum of 50% of costs of a capital project – at least 50% match required from applicant. Match can be provided from other social
investment funds. Expenditure must be completed and evidenced to KFI before the grant payment is made, although we can enable other (non-ERDF) finance to allow this to be covered.
