We are looking for someone to join our organisation under a new trainee programme, initially for one year to help us bring more diverse talent to the social investment sector, preferably from within our area of operation.

The right person will join the central team and spend time understanding the functions within the team but will ultimately be a support role for the investment team.

The right person will have strong interpersonal skills, as well as good written and verbal communication. Due to the varied workload, they will need to have excellent organization skills and enjoy managing their own workload once clearly briefed as well as be proactively dealing with issues as they arise.

We would be supportive of them acquiring new skills and knowledge, particularly in relation to the role we play in the Social Investment sector.

We would also like them to have a keen interest in supporting Key Funds desire to support a more equitable society for all with a view to understanding the role they play in the delivery of our mission.

Activities

Play an effective role in the delivery of the marketing strategy as is needed, support with socials, surveys, and website.

Manage post in and out, organize food for lunches when needed, order stationery and general supplies. Maintain filing systems, to ensure all information is accurate and available.

Investment paperwork and pre-payment checks.

Planning and Organisation

Work with agreed processes and systems in a way that enables compliant delivery of all activity

  • Clear and up to date list of all actions at any point in time, in different areas
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Maintain clear and up to date diary entries
  • Identifying operational issues in an accurate and timely way to enable corrective actions to be taken
  • Good research skills, accessing information from various sources to support the delivery of required activities
  • Clear presentation of ideas and solutions

Finance

Obtaining social and enterprise level impact information. Processing and analysis of social and enterprise level impact information. Supporting the process of report writing for funders and stakeholders.

Investment

Supporting Investment Managers with;

  • Dealing with enquiries.
  • Supporting enterprises during the application process.
  • Securing due diligence information.
  • Completing assessments.
  • Post award offer documentation issue.
  • Post disbursement support.
  • Circulating information to investees.

Clear written and 
verbal communication

Clear written work – e.g., email, social media, website, presentations

  • Ability to adjust messaging to reflect audience needs and appropriate complexity
  • Maintain records/meeting notes
